Step aside from being an actor
It is a little annoying to aware the tumultuous flow of thoughts and impressions while travelling your mind. I noticed that to avoid their story, it is better to focus on the present moment and on to perception. The main issue is not to become involved emotionally on them and not to become an actor in their drama. It is not easy, because some of them are coming from real experiences of the past, but it is possible.
When boring is trying yourself
To become bored represents a main obstacle for mindfulness. On this situation, it is useful to notice as much details as you can and to perceive the relationships between them. For instance, you perceive a cramp on a leg followed by an itching on your hand. This sequence speaks about a sequence of perception that is possible because of a hidden association. Becoming aware about these chains of sensations will unlock hidden meanings that are present in your mind that will conduct you not only to become interested in mining for them, but also will bring light about forgotten things.
Dealing with frustration and tiredness
Staying alone in the morning, before the sun is up on the sky, might be frustrating. Strange ideas flashed through my mind with an annoying sensation of tiredness. I realized the weakness of human constitution and in many points dependent on the rhythm imposed by the civilization, not by the nature. So, I understood that mindfulness is also a way to an ancient way of being, prior to civilization, when people were in close contact with the nature, perceived like a mother, and with the sky, perceived like a father. Maybe mindfulness was the gateway to religious practices connected with the sacredness of the universe. Wonderful idea!
Accepting the things as they are
One wonderful thing I noticed while meditating on this afternoon regards the importance to accept everything as it is, without trying to change anything. While perceiving the shift of attention from body scan to the world of imagination, I stopped to judge myself or to apply a norm by saying „it is not good this or that”. The moment I judge, that instant I am outside of the present reality. Therefore, it is better to bring back your focus while smiling in a similar way you try to bring back a child from outside. It is clear, that inside of us there is a child that must be nurtured and cared for with great consideration.
Staying in the middle of nowhere
The beauty of mindfulness is to stay in the middle of stillness without being distracted by the silence of thoughts or by the boring of non-acting. Between the discrete quanta of time, there is a temporal space where to hide in front of ever changing reality. The body scan allows you to feel with your own sensors these particles of times prior to the moment of shifting the reality. The awareness sometimes is expanding to the extent of the universe, but other times it confines to the smallest details of the atom.
The world of bodily sensations
Body scan allows you to perceive the world of sensations that emerge in contact between body-mind and the outer environment. There is nothing inside us without the capacity of feeling the world outside of us transposing the multitude stimuli in perception that afterwards will generate thoughts, emotions and actions. The human body is like a flower of a plant that blossoms in a beautiful field and well-watered by the streams of water coming fresh from the mountain. We are a part of a vast oneness created by a wise Architect. Looking inside conducts you to see outside and vice-versa.
The present moment as a place of refuge
While exploring the marvellous sensations that travel through my body, I perceived the beauty of the present moment. There is no place to escape from the worries coming from the future and the dark memories arriving from the past, except the moment that I live now. Ignoring the thoughts induced by anxious expectations or nostalgic remembrances, I explored the surface and the depths of the present moment just by sensing my body in relationship with the surrounding environment. Little things revealed themselves as full of splendour and beauty in a similar way with the natural landscapes. What a beautiful being is the man!
